Authors retain copyright of their published work. By submitting to NeuScience, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and license the article under Creative Commons terms.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

What CC BY 4.0 Means

Author Rights

Journal Rights

By submitting, authors grant NeuScience:

Third-Party Content

Authors must:

  • Obtain permission for any copyrighted material (figures, images, tables) from other sources
  • Provide proper attribution for all third-party content
  • Confirm permissions in the manuscript
  • Use only public domain or openly-licensed content without explicit permission
