NeuScience’s publishing model is gold open access. Published articles will be freely available to read, download and share, without a subscription or reader payment.
Creative Commons licence
Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Reuse requires appropriate credit, a link to the licence and an indication of changes. Authors retain copyright.
Publication fees
The current APC waiver covers submissions received through 31 December 2026. Read the fee policy for subsequent charges, notice periods and waiver requests. The planned April 2027 launch does not change the existing fee terms.

Preprints and reuse
Authors may share preprints as described in the copyright policy. Identify prior versions at submission and link the preprint to the final publication when available.
