Authors submitting to NeuScience retain copyright of their work. By submitting, authors grant NeuScience a perpetual, non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the article in all formats and media.

All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Under this license, any person may share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially), provided appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Preprint Policy

Authors may post preprints of their work on non-commercial servers (e.g., bioRxiv, medRxiv, SSRN, arXiv) at any stage before, during, or after peer review. Please update the preprint with a link to the published article upon acceptance.
